Attendance
Attendance Policy
Excused Absences
To be considered excused, documentation must be submitted to the Attendance Office within two school days of the absence. Parents or guardians may report absences by phone or email.
Students may have up to 5 excused absences per semester for medical reasons without a doctor’s note. After 5 days, medical documentation is required and must include the date and time of the appointment or illness.
Pre-Arranged Absences
Requests for pre-arranged absences must be submitted to the Principal at least 10 days in advance.
District policy allows up to 3 approved pre-arranged excused absences per school year. Approval is not guaranteed and is subject to administrative review.
Tardiness
Students arriving late must check in at the Dean’s Office.
Accumulating 4 tardies may result in disciplinary action. Continued tardiness may lead to additional consequences, including in school suspension.
Driver’s License Attendance Requirement
Students who accumulate 15 unexcused absences within a 90 day period may have their driver’s license suspended.
To reinstate driving privileges, students must maintain 30 consecutive days with no absences. Maintaining consistent attendance is required to keep an active driver’s license status.
Early Dismissal
Early dismissal is not permitted during the final hour of the school day.
Students must be signed out by a parent or approved emergency contact listed in school records. A valid government issued photo ID is required.
